Former Nigerian vice president, Alex Ekwueme is dead. An official statement from his family and traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra state, Igwe Laz Ekwueme confirmed that he died by 10:00 pm in a London clinic, Sunday.

The University of Maiduguri, UNIMAID, had yesterday matriculated 9,429 students to mark its 37th Matriculation.

The November 16th event, which held at the university’s Convocation Square was conducted by Prof. Ibrahim A. Njodi, the vice chancellor who also congratulated the newly admitted students on a note of welcome.
