I have no doubt the god of love was present in the studio when this poem was been recorded, guiding the voice of the poet and the fingers of the producer to simultaneously and harmoniously craft a wonderful love story like never before told in spoken word poetry; you'd agree with me when you listen. :)
The rendition was soulful and laced with several memorable punchlines, the kind of ones that keeps popping on your mind long after you've heard it. I love the background sound for many inexplicable reasons, but the most remarkable of them would be for its 'local foreignness', its simplicity and how it co-tells the poets love story. It is trite knowledge that great sound tracks are bound to be birthed when the producer has a great grasping of the artiste's thought process, and thus is able to see into the heart of his verses and manufacture a 'sound mate' for it. Such is the story of Decipher and Producer X on this track.
The art cover which was created by the magnificent and multi-talented Kurengx speaks not just to the eyes, but also to the mind. Its a visual corroboration to the poets story; a snippet into the eyes of the track.
Am crazy about this poem. You'd be too. :)
