Kidnapped BUK lecturer regains freedom

A top lecturer of Bayero University, Kano, Saminu Aliyu-Kiri, who was kidnapped last week, read here has been freed. The Spokesman of the university Malam Ahmed Shehu, who confirmed the release said the lecturer has been reunited with his family in Kano State.

"As I am talking to you now, the lecturer has regained his freedom and has been reunited with his family," he said.
Aliyu-Kiri, a top member of the faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of the school was abducted, alongside other people in the car, in Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna State on his way back from Oyo State where he had supervised Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
Thank God for his freedom.
