Senate Approves Amaechi's Ministerial Appointment

The Nigerian senate at about 4:16pm today approved the ministerial appointment of the most controversial ministerial nominee, Rotimi Amaechi as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as contained in the list sent in by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Also confirmed were 16 other nominees that had undergone the ministerial screening process of the senate.

Though, the PDP staged a walk out before the confirmation was announced following the senate's rejection of the findings of the House Committee on Ethics after coming back from a closed door session that was intended to decide Amaechi's fate.
